Kobold Brewing

After retiring from 26 years as an Air Traffic Controller and moving to Bend, Steve unleashed his creative side and started home brewing.  Discovering he had a knack for making very drinkable beer (as our neighbors on 3rd Street would say) Steve designed and built a two barrel, nano-brewery on his property in Bend’s westside.  He started Kobold Brewing in 2015 and turned his small brewery into a successful and busy operation.

On Tap

Razzy Russian  – ABV 11.8%

  • Russian Imperial Stout aged in Bourbon Barrel with Raspberries. The fruit balances out and compliments the big barrel aged Stout with notes of chocolate, raisin and vanilla. The raspberries jump out of the brew on first aroma and sip, then the stout comes to life  with its complex dark fruit, espresso and chocolate flavors.

German Chocolate Bourbon Stout – ABV 11.8%

  • A perfect combination: Coconut, Chocolate and Bourbon.  Aged in Oregon Spirits Bourbon Barrels with cocoa nibs and coconut this Stout is tasty.   After the initial German Chocolate blast the base stout shows its colors with fig, cherry and caramel flavors.
